Hi everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend. You should be receiving a notification from Backerkit that orders are being locked -- if you'd like to make any final changes, please do so now! Once orders are locked, it becomes very difficult to make any changes before shipping. Note, however, that you will still be able to update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping, which will be sometime in early July. We will be sure to give you plenty of notice before then.

To lock your order, Backerkit will charge your credit card on file for any balance due. If they can't complete the charge, they should notify you of the errors and ask you to make corrections or to enter alternate payment information. If they can't complete the final charge, we can't ship your order! So please check to make sure that your payment information is correct. If you need to make any special arrangements, just message us and we'll see what we can do to help.

We have closed the campaign feedback survey -- thank you all for taking the time to answer those questions! We received 341 responses, and it is always enlightening. :)

As promised, we applied $.50 in Backerkit credit to everyone's account who took the survey. You should see that credit on your order, but If you don't and feel it's missing, send us a message and we can look you up. Perhaps you filled out the survey under a different email address.

Also as promised, we randomly selected one responder to win a $25 Amazon Gift Card, and that winner is... Doug Schneider! Congrats, Doug! Thanks for being a great supporter! :D

Feedback survey reminder / locking orders this Friday!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend (and holiday Monday for our US stateside backers)!

Just a quick update to remind everyone about our feedback survey which we will be locking down at the end of the day on Wednesday! Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts about the MONOLITH Kickstarter campaign, your comic buying habits, and Magnetic Press in general. We will close that survey on Wednesday and pick one lucky responder at random to receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card! For everyone else, we will credit your Backerkit account $.50 just for filling out the survey. It may not sound like much, but it'll bring your balance down a bit before we lock orders and charge cards this weekend.

To reiterate that last part: we will be locking orders at the end of the day on Friday! 

You will still be able to update your shipping address up until we start fulfilling, but we need to get our final count on items so that we can be ready to go as soon as the books arrive mid-July.

Sweet sweet coinage and slipcase dummies!

Hi everyone!

Yow, it has been a few weeks, hasn't it? Not that the silence means nothing has been happening... much has! The books have finished printing, and we should get our hot proof copies tomorrow! Assuming they pass our quality test, they'll leave Hong Kong next week, and barring delays* should reach our warehouse by mid-July. (*There have been a number of global industry challenges lately, not the least of which include: worldwide paper shortage, port congestion, shipping container shortages, customs delays, and continued pandemic-related port labor restrictions. We've been working with our printer and shipping provider to do everything we can to minimize delays, but these things have been affecting everyone in every corner of commerce, so there's only so much we can hope for... we'll just continue to do our best for you!)

So expect some pix of the final books soon (possibly tomorrow), but in the meantime, look what showed up this weekend...

I know there are some of you who still wonder what's the point of these hunks of metal, but those of you who've gotten previous coins can agree: these are SWEET. 2 ounces of heavy metal affirmation.

These will be our 5th collectible campaign coin so far, and we hope to keep making new ones as we go along. Pretty soon, it'll be hard to have them all, so you done good to get in on this one! They've got gravity! Like a neutron star! (Seriously, individually, they're solid and cool, but 700 of them are HEAVY. I nearly broke my back carrying just two boxes of them upstairs...)

SLIPCASE DUMMY

No, we're not calling you a dummy -- we intentionally left the comma out of that title. We're referring to the dummy/hand-built model of the ORPHANS Slipcase that the printer created for us. Two copies were received recently and they fit the books like a shiny, 4mm cardboard glove...

We are waiting to see a final printed version but to give you an idea what it will look like, here's a peek at the print file:

Hi everyone!

Hope you're having a great Saturday! Just a quick update to let everyone know that the Pre-registration prints have been added to Backerkit. If you were one of the awesome early backers who pre-registered before the campaign launched, your FREE copy has been added to your cart. Please confirm you see it in your basket. If you don't see it and feel you should have received one, send us a message and we can look you up to confirm whether you had.

If you didn't pre-register -- maybe you didn't see any of the early promotion or announcement coverage on the web or social media -- you can still get a copy! They have been added to the Backerkit Add-on store for $5 each. We wanted to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to have one without devaluing the promotional incentive of pre-registering (for a free copy).  We think this is a fair compromise. :) These will only be printed in a quantity to satisfy the demand, so they will remain extremely limited.

Those of you who have followed us from one campaign to the next know that these pre-registration bonuses have become part of our regular strategy.
